Profile page UI confusion #227

When I went to someone's profile to follow them, I got confused lots because for a minute, I did not find a way to follow them.

This wasn't helped due to the pea menu hiding conspicuously within the top banner (see attachment).

Suggestion:

  • Replace the "create post" icon with the pea menu, and move the create-post option to there.
    • (imo this aligns more with apple design "vibes", putting this in the top right of a detail view.)
  • (Possibly) place follow at the bottom of someone's profile page, like Toot! does, to make it more accessible.
    • (imo dont place it where twitter does, else that muscle memory might trigger, and they follow request before reading the bio and pinned posts)

I don't plan to remove the compose button from the nav bar, but I may move the more actions button to be there as well

There's now a separate follow button on profiles, and the contrast between the more actions button and the header image is improved
