It would be great if events related to the same post could be grouped.

  • likes
  • favourites
  • reposts

So a popular post would only generate a few lines in the notifications view. This would keep things super tidy!

(Twitter website and Mona mastodon client also work this way)

Tusker has long supported grouping notifications (see below), but the way it does so is designed to mostly preserve the ordering. It seems to not have much of an effect when multiple posts are very active. I'll think about how it could be improved without removing that property.

Thanks! I thought I had seen it in Tusker, but then it was not happening for the popular posts from this week. I was so unsure I dare not even mention it in the OP.
