Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
I upgraded to Sonoma this month, and I've noticed new behaviour when typing incorrectly spelled words. macOS tries to auto-correct and as I type parts of the words are discarded which results in half-complete words.
I can prevent this by unchecking:
Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Correct Spelling Automatically
But this setting does not persist across windows, so I have to switch it off again in the compose window, or between launches.
It would be lovely if that setting could persist.
Attached is a screen recording.
I've had requests to persist some of those Edit menu settings before, and I don't think there's anything I can do since they're controlled by the OS. But, I'll look into what I can do to fix the corrected words being deleted.
Unfortunately this appears to be a macOS issue with all "Designed for iPad" apps, and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to work around it. I've filed FB13681230.
Turning off "Correct Spelling Automatically" at the system level (System Settings -> Keyboard -> Text Input -> Edit...) seems to be the best option.
Thanks. I'll see if I can set that option. Or add a keyboard shortcut to the menu item.
It never used to happen in Monterey, and I skipped Ventura, so it's one of the delights of Sonoma for me.
